Eye Screening Camp Organised at Bhadrakali Police Station
On the eve of the Republic Day 2021, an eye screening camp was organised jointly, to mark the ongoing National Road Safety Month, by Nirmal Ashram Eye Institute (NEI), Rishikesh and the Police Department, District Tehri Garhwal at Bhadrakali Police Station, Muni ki Reti, Rishikesh.
The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Uttam Singh Negi, Additional Superintendent of Police, District Tehri Garhwal and the representatives of NEI, Rishikesh at 11:00 AM. A total of 157 people were screened in the camp, of which 10 were referred to NEI for further diagnosis and treatment.
Mr. Negi applauded the conduct of the camp and stressed on the two-pronged importance of such initiatives by NEI, i.e., generating awareness among the public about various ophthalmic diseases and making ophthalmic healthcare available to those who are devoid of it owing to the limited reach and resources of Public Health Services.
The camp concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr Negi to NEI, Rishikesh and the personnel of Police Station, Bhadrakali for a successful conduct of the event.
